Position Summary:
The Fiber Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic products and equipment to ensure quality, reliability, and on-time production support. This role works closely with production teams to identify issues, perform repairs, and improve overall process performance.

Position Summary:
The Fiber Repair Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic products and equipment to ensure quality, reliability, and on-time production support. This role works closely with production teams to identify issues, perform repairs, and improve overall process performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on fiber optic assemblies and components.
- Inspect fiber products for defects and determine appropriate repair actions.
- Perform fiber termination, splicing, polishing, cleaning, and rework as required.
- Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Use precision tools and test equipment to verify repairs meet standards.
- Document repair activities, defects, and process improvements.
- Support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following 5S and safety standards.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve first-pass quality
- Other duties as assigned
- HS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institution
- 4+ years’ experience with fiber optic repair, assembly, or troubleshooting
- Must be fluent with Microsoft applications
- Ability to troubleshoot and work independently
- Knowledge of manufacturing practices and methods Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and contributing to failure analysis reports.
- Strong organizational skills & Mathematical skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledgeable in JUPITER BACH/OSHA Safety Requirements
- Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to use power and hand tools in a safe manner 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to work in hot, humid, and cold manufacturing environment
- Must be able to work in crowded spaces for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to bend and crawl for 4+ hours per shift
- Much be able to crouch, kneel and stoop for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to climb ladders for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to sit, stand and walk for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to perform simple grasping, push, pull, perform fine manipulation, and feel for 6+ hours per shift
- Must be able to operate foot pedals for 4+ hours per shift
- Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, express and exchange written or spoken words, and distinguish objects and equipment visually
